Group Director of Laundry & Uniform Services – Caribbean
A listed 5 Star Resort Group in The Caribbean is seeking a Group Director of Laundry & Uniforms to be based in Saint Lucia.
Core Responsibilities:
- To oversee the management, costs, and service delivery at all laundry activities across multiple venues and locations
- Ensuring budgetary control and effective communication to drive efficiency and excellent service delivery
- Reporting to the board and senior shareholder about department performance
- Monitor and promote compliance with all Guidelines to Operations
- Verify supervisors maintain adequate levels of department supplies
- Encourage employees to work in a safe environment
- Manage and coordinate the distribution of all uniforms with operating departments
- Responsible for the inventory of uniforms across the group
- Maintain accurate inventory control records
- Prepare operating budgets for labour and operational expenses
- Assist designers with selection of new uniforms
- Manufactures name tags for various departments/properties
- Manage the output of the sewing room and ensure the highest degree of quality and efficiency by the seamstress
- Assist in professional presentations of uniform changes to different members of upper management with practical and aesthetic justifications
