Senior Director of Operations – Caribbean

GAP Talent is seeking a Director of Operations for a leading F&B chain in the Caribbean. You will play a key role in overseeing the operational efficiency and profitability of our restaurant and cocktail chain.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of restaurants and bars across multiple locations. The role will require the individual to relocate and the company will provide full relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and quality across all locations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor key performance metrics such as sales, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and guest satisfaction scores, and take proactive measures to address any issues.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus, optimize inventory management practices, and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant managers and staff to foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to managers to help them achieve their performance goals and develop their leadership skills.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set clear performance expectations, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts, manage procurement processes, and ensure optimal pricing and terms for goods and services.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and engage with guests to solicit feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in multi-unit restaurant management, preferably in a similar upscale or fine dining environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding high standards of quality, service, and professionalism.
