GAP Talent is working with a leading hospitality group and we are seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Manager to join our team in a growing landscape business in the Bahamas.

NOTE: This is an international post, not remote to be based full time in the Bahamas.

As the Landscape Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of all outdoor spaces within our hotel properties. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of our venues, ensuring a harmonious blend of nature and luxury. The successful candidate will bring creativity, horticultural expertise, and strong management skills to drive the excellence of our landscape offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative landscape designs that align with the hotel’s overall theme and brand identity.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and visually appealing outdoor environments.
  • Oversee the execution of landscape projects, including plant installations, hardscape construction, and irrigation systems.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractor relationships to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Implement and supervise landscape maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing health and beauty of all outdoor areas.
  • Monitor plant health, irrigation systems, and pest control measures to maintain high-quality landscapes.
  • Develop and implement sustainable landscape practices, including water conservation, waste reduction, and the use of native and drought-tolerant plants.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations related to sustainable landscape management.
  • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with guest services to create unique outdoor experiences for hotel guests, such as guided garden tours or outdoor events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.
  • Proven experience in landscape management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of local plant species, climate considerations, and sustainable landscaping practices.
  • Proficiency in landscape design software is a plus.
  • Commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
