Chief Information Officer – Caribbean
Gap Talent is searching for an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the technology strategies across the Caribbean for an award winning Tour operator.
As the CIO, you will play a central role in shaping and executing their information technology vision, ensuring that their digital infrastructure supports and advances their business goals throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the overall technology strategy in alignment with regional business objectives.
- Manage and oversee the IT department, including IT professionals and external vendors across various Caribbean locations.
- Define and implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard digital assets and customer data.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to maintain a competitive edge in technological advancements.
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of technology awareness and best practices within the organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the tourism or related industry, with a focus on multiple regional locations.
- A strong understanding of information technology and its application in business operations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and the ability to develop and implement security strategies to protect data and assets across the Caribbean.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively with teams spanning various Caribbean destinations.
