Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Surrey, United Kingdom
Type: Part-Time (3 days a week)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Qualification: Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant

We are a highly profitable insurance company based in Surrey, seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. This role, operating on a part-time basis (3 days a week), offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a well-established finance function that runs smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and will have the chance to join the board, reporting on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports and management accounts consistent with relevant standards and accounting principles.
  • Ensure the integrity of the accounting records and implement appropriate systems and controls to detect and minimize errors, fraud, and theft.
  • Coordinate financial reporting for prudential compliance and grant acquittals.
  • Manage business systems, monitor accounting and reporting systems, and introduce new systems as necessary.
  • Provide high-quality analysis and feedback on financial performance to managers and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial accounting policies and procedures, annual financial accounts and reporting, financial analysis and reporting, treasury management and cash flow, audit budget preparation, statistical data and reporting, and general accounting tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a degree qualification in Commerce or Accounting.
  • Professionalism and well-spoken demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, collegiate team and embrace a family feel environment.
  • Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

  • FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)
