Group Director of Sustainability – Caribbean

Our client is a large listed hospitality group with a portfolio of hotels and resorts located in some of the most desirable destinations in The Caribbean. Their business is built on a foundation of excellence in customer service, luxurious amenities, and a deep commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

As the Corporate Director of Sustainability, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives, ensuring that they align with business values, objectives, and legal obligations. You will lead a team of professionals in developing, implementing, and reporting on a comprehensive sustainability strategy that encompasses their entire business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that encompasses all aspects of the business
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to embed sustainability into business operations
  • Provide thought leadership and best practices in the area of sustainability and corporate responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, social, and governance regulations and standards
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance to senior management and stakeholders
  • Manage a team of sustainability professionals, providing leadership, direction, and support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability or corporate responsibility
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry or a related field is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, and SASB
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically
