Country General Manager – Guyana

Position: Country General Manager
Location: Georgetown, Guyana

We are a leading retail and manufacturing group with a strong presence in Guyana, committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. As we continue to expand and innovate, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Country General Manager.

Role Overview:

As the Country General Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our operations in Jamaica. You will be responsible for effectively managing departmental heads, overseeing overall strategy, and driving the continued growth, profitability, and performance of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the departmental heads to ensure alignment with overall strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business plans and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.


Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Administration/Marketing or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a business leadership role, preferably within the retail or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
