Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Distillery Manager to lead the operations of our esteemed rum distillery and sugar farm in the Caribbean. This is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the entire distillation process, from raw material handling to the final product. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of distillation, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for producing high-quality rum.

Note: This is an international post, full relocation required with financial assistance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Distillery Operations Management:

• Oversee all aspects of distillery operations, including molasses handling, fermentation, distillation, barrel warehousing, and engineering.
• Manage the maintenance of all equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Supervise raw material and finished goods storage, ensuring proper inventory management and quality control.
• Coordinate bottling and shipping logistics to ensure timely and efficient distribution of products.
• Implement and maintain environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
• Ensure security and labor management are effectively handled, maintaining a safe and productive working environment.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with the Commercial Manager for Spirits on production planning, sales, and marketing strategies.
• Support new product development initiatives and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external partners, including consultants, suppliers, and service providers, to optimize operations and address any challenges.

Reporting and Compliance:

• Report directly to the Managing Director and CEO, providing regular updates on distillery operations and performance.
• Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in distillery management or a similar role within the beverage or spirits industry.
• Strong knowledge of distillation processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
• Experience with environmental management and regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
• Ability to work closely with commercial teams and external partners to achieve business goals.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 USD (negotiable based on experience).
