Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead our financial operations in Montego Bay. As a key member of our finance team, the Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial management. You’ll also be leading a small team of accountants of various levels or qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations across multiple locations and jurisdictions .
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives and enhance profitability.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Collaborate with regional and corporate finance teams to align financial goals and strategies.
- Supervise a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency in financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant with a CPA, ACCA, or similar qualification.
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar role within the hospitality or travel industry.
- Solid understanding of international accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience.
Preferred:
- Local or Caricom candidates are strongly preferred.
