Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead our financial operations in Montego Bay. As a key member of our finance team, the Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial management. You’ll also be leading a small team of accountants of various levels or qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations across multiple locations and jurisdictions .
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives and enhance profitability.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis process, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate finance teams to align financial goals and strategies.
  • Supervise a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency in financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with a CPA, ACCA, or similar qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar role within the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Solid understanding of international accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience.

Preferred:

  • Local or Caricom candidates are strongly preferred.
