GAP Talent is seeking a Data-Savvy Management Accountant who blends strong accounting expertise with advanced data analysis skills to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will adeptly handle financial data, generate insights, and drive efficiencies across the organization. This role is based in London, with a hybrid work setup. This starts off as a contract which will very likely become a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies for improving financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support various business scenarios and strategic planning efforts.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as required.
  • Gather, process, and manage data from various internal and external sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Must hold a ACCA, ACA OR CA(SA)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis tools. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Xero) is advantageous.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
