Job Title: Group Financial Controller – Caribbean
Location: Caribbean
Salary: Package circa $6,500 USD per month plus housing.

GAP Talent are working with a leading multi faceted organization that are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their team.

NOTE: This is an international post, based in the Caribbean – full relocation, housing and work permits proved along with vehicle.

Due to location, this opportunity may not be suitable for applicants with children due to limited educational options.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets across 4 companies are safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with statutory regulations, financial policies, and other accounting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the general accounting functions and financial reporting, which includes subsidiary entities.
  • Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.
  • Manage credit risk ensuring its balanced with the business objectives and financial targets.
  • Manage Payables ensuring that purchase orders/invoices/payment requests are supported with proper management authorization.
  • Coordinates and oversees activities relative to internal controls documentation – test and segregate duties where necessary.
  • Leading a team of 8 in finance team.
  • Provides technical accounting guidance and support to management which may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding accounting/finance risks/practices.
  • Ensure that quarterly and annual Corporate Taxes, statutory returns are filed within time stipulated.
  • Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits of the company’s financial records, ensuring documentations and financial reports are accessible including financial statements, property acquisition/sales, Inventory, payroll, and statutory payments.
  • Implement agreed upon recommendations resulting from the audit findings, within scope of responsibility.
